Electromechanical power management control box for power supply, starting, and STOP. Typically, the motor to be tested already comes with its own engine control unit, whether it's a large or small displacement engine.
However, what it lacks is the ability to be shut off in the event of an alarm or any other occurrence inside the test room.
This is the task performed by this electromechanical panel: managing both the starting phase, its operation, and its shutdown, regardless of the type of engine, whether gasoline or diesel, and if diesel: whether with ELEKTROSTOP or a diesel fuel supply solenoid valve of the latest generation.
TECHNICAL NOTE: Batteries are not provided
Therefore, this panel will manage:
- Supplying voltage for any electronic control units that need this supply before starting.
- Shutting down the engine in the presence of an alarm from the acquisition system (when these are enabled)
- Commanding the starting if the engine is equipped with its starter motor
- Commanding an eventual initial enricher if the engine requires its use
- Shutting down the engine via the STOP button, which will activate the timed line for the ELEKTROSTOP command or cut off the electrical supply of the diesel fuel supply solenoid valve
- Protection through a blade fuse from 250 ... 750 A (depending on the case) for the starter motor supply if the engine is equipped with it
NOTE: The commands to execute both the startup, the starting, and the stop are taken from the small movable control panel that is provided separately
