Operating Principle
Volumetric screw meters are known for their precision and reliability characteristics, combined with low pressure losses and the ability to be installed in any position, as they are insensitive to vibrations, pulsations, and variations in liquid viscosity. The measurement principle is very simple: in the measuring chamber, formed by the coupling of the two screws, the fluid flow causes the screws to rotate; the rotation speed is translated by a sensor into a frequency signal which, relative to the known volume of the chamber, is converted by an electronic device into a flow rate value.
