To assist the operator in managing the engine control equipment, a mobile console has been created that allows the operator to act on the engine management commands, adjustment commands, and the data storage button without taking their eyes off the engine under test or the data readings. Specifically, this console houses on its control panel:
- Illuminated button for low voltage insertion to the engine
- Engine stop button
- Engine start button
- Data storage button
- Brake adjustment potentiometer *
- Mn² adjustment potentiometer *
- Pneumatic throttle control selector; inside the console, there is an electronic board that, depending on the selector setting, will control the three throttle management solenoid valves on the railway engines with precise combinations.
At the back are various connectors that will be used to pick up signals coming from the various components located on the front of this control console.
TECHNICAL NOTE: The START/STOP and ENGINE START commands are clean contacts with a capacity of 0,5A and therefore must be connected to appropriate power relays.
